Tulugang Fm
Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located on a small island known as the Mafen Islet of the Dapu Sea in the eastern part of the Xinjie Primary Division, Hong Kong. So it is also known as the Dapuhai Fm (Li Zuoming, 1987). It was named by Ruxton B.P. in 1960.

Lithology and Thickness
Siltstone. Interbedded white, dark-grey and light-red siltstones together with the brown and grey-white siltstones, with an exposed thickness of 100-150 m

Lower contact
Uncertain contact relationship with the underlying strata.
Upper contact
Uncertain contact relationship with the overlying strata.
Regional extent
An island of Hong Kong (see Type Locality). May be partly coeval with the Central Island Fm on nearby location?

Fossils
It yields Brachiopod fossils such as Tenuichonetes tennilirata, T. plicatiformis, Pygmochonetes sp., Uncisteges crenulata, Neoplicatifera huangi, Permundaria shizipuensis, etc.; and bivalve fossils such as Euchondria jiaheensis, Paradoxipecten jiaheensis, Astartella minuta, etc.,
